Must Read! – USGS Open-File Report 2008-1353: Assessment of Undiscovered Technically Recoverable Oil and Gas Resources of the Bakken Formation, Williston Basin, Montana and North Dakota, 2008

Excerpt:

“Using a geology-based assessment methodology, the U.S.
Geological Survey estimated mean undiscovered volumes
of 3.65 billion barrels of oil, 1.85 trillion cubic feet of
associated/dissolved natural gas, and 148 million barrels
of natural gas liquids in the Bakken Formation of the
Williston Basin Province, Montana and North Dakota.”

Also check out Alex Jones’ recent interview (posted Feb. 10, 2009) with Lindsey Williams on this very subject, at the link below. Very informative!

Do a search for “The Non-Energy Crisis” by Lindsey Williams. Up until this most recent reserve discovery (mentioned above); the Gull Island oil reserve in Prudhoe Bay on the North slope of Alaska was discovered back in the seventies. It is currently sitting idle, with enough natural gas alone to supply the U.S. with 200 years of energy. The crude oil present in the Gull Island reserve is second only to this most recently revealed discovery, mentioned in the report above.

Lindsey was invited by the big oil research/producers to sit in with the directors meetings back in the seventies, when the Gull Island reserve discovery was realized.
